Breeding
At Royal Lamb Co, our goal is to provide the tenderest tasting lamb. We do this by selective breeding. We take the best qualities from our Katahdin hair sheep and combine them with the best qualities from our Dorper sheep. This cross give you the best of both worlds that your taste buds will thank you for.
Because we use selective breeding, we proud to say that we DO NOT use artificial growth hormones and that we allow our sheep to grow naturally!
Our Rams
Onyx is our top breeding ram here on the farm. He is a Registered Fullblood Dorper. This means that his linage can be traced back to his descents that were originally from Africa.
Onyx provides our farm with additional breeding rams. Each one is hand picked to become a part of our breeding program.
OUr Ewes
Our ewes enjoy scratching on their personal scratch post, drinking from their heated water, and sun bathing in the sun. In the summer they get to endeavor the lushest organic green pastures in the Midwest.
These royal ewes also have a personal chef that tailers to their nutritional needs.
